Today we had a visit from Nicki’s sister, brother-in-law and mum who all travelled up from Somerset for their first sight of Shensi, and we like to think they enjoyed their day.

Although the weather wasn’t brilliant (aka mostly rainy and wet) we thought we would take them all out in Shensi for a short trip along the Thames passing through Temple Lock, scraping under Marlow Bridge (yet again) with inches to spare, and on down towards Marlow Weir.  Unfortunately that was as far as we were able to travel in those conditions, and being unable to moor up anywhere we did a 180 and slowly travelled back up to the marina.  On the way back the locks were unmanned and Michael did a sterling job operating the locks, with Lesley and mum sitting in the wheelhouse surveying the action.
