Maarssen – Nederhorst den Berg (28th/29th) – Weesp (29th September)
28th September – Casper had been unwell whilst in Maarssen, but fortunately he seemed to be improving this morning and he was much more perky, so Nicki felt a bit happier with his health, and we moved on to Nederhorst den Berg on the Vecht river.
A pleasant 3 hour cruise later (courtesy of Bob) we arrived at a long stretch of moorings along the Oude Vecht in the countryside. (I had to deal with a long phone conversation with Vodafone for most of the journey trying to sort out issues with our phone contracts, so left the others to it and aside from one or two slight issues, we arrived and moored up without incident).
The area around us was all very green and lush, with a nice long walk by the river. There were only two or three other boats in sight of ours, and it was very peaceful here. A great nights sleep was had by all and we were up and ready to face another few hours of travel in the morning to reach Weesp.
29th September – A short layover here in Nederhorst den Berg saw us setting off to the lovely town of Weesp.
